I am really excited to finally have a cardiologist on the show talk about cholesterol. I found Dr. Mohammed Alo while listening to the Simon Hill podcast and was very intrigued by what he said. By the time we get to midlife, many women suddenly may find themselves with higher cholesterol numbers and our doctors are telling us one thing, yet social media, friends and books may be telling us another. And it all can be very confusing.
ABOUT DR. ALO
Dr. Alo is a board certified cardiologist and an internist, but also a certified personal trainer and weight loss author and researcher.
To be honest, his CV is way longer than that and we will be here for an hour if I read it all. He wrote tons of books and speaks at medical conferences, but somehow in between all the medical training, he raised a family with four kids, started a media business, was a computer technician, was involved in politics and editor of a bunch of magazines. Dr. Alo is a high achiever who has done so much in so little time, but today we are going to focus on cholesterol.
