We have heard all the usual motivational tools, but this time we wanted to give you some new and unusual tips to get motivated to move your business forward, start a new nutritional program, or to do just about anything that you normally don’t like doing.

It’s all about creating good habits, so once you get motivated to do the right things, the rest gets much easier. But that first leap is often the hardest.

Today on the #ZoHoShow, John and I introduced some new and unusual ways that we have tried ourselves as well as a few that we haven’t that you may want to use to motivate yourself.

Competition – a little healthy competition is always great to get you moving.

Money/accountability – having a friend hold a “fine” that you can only win back if you succeed in carrying out that task at hand.

Self talk – psyching yourself up and even “lying to yourself” can help bring positivity and more willingness to accept a difficult job.

Precommit – setting a timer for 25 minutes to keep you on track once you start and not let anything get in the way.

Focus – Learning how to say no, not immediately answering your text messages, emails, etc.

Music – Setting the right tone with music to psyche you up to the task.

Apps – There are a ton of apps you can test out that send reminders or time you on your tasks.

You will have to watch the replay to get all the details as well as our examples of what works for me and John.

The ZoHoShow is a series of talks held every Wednesday mornings (Hong Kong time) with my good friend, business partner and Periscope brother John Ho discussing topics related to network marketing. John and I are both building our businesses using the NuSkin.com platform and enjoy sharing our experiences and helping others who are involved in this industry or want to learn more. Nu Skin is a big part of our lives and is the vehicle that we drive to lead the freedom lifestyle.
